Adventures in Crafting: Stamp Sketch Challenge

Another new adventure!  I’m trying out using sketches to create cards.  A sketch is just that, an easy diagram of a card layout. It gives you a place to start.  I typically look at a stamp set and an idea comes to mind.  Or I watch a video, and the other crafter’s card or technique, and then think, “I know what I could do with that!”  Or an occasion or birthday would come up, and I look through my stash for something I think the recipient would love.

This is a bit different.  See the sketch below:

For the challenge, you pick either the layout or the color scheme… I chose the layout.  Here are the challenge instructions from http://yournextstamp.com.

” Link up your project through Inlinkz below, up to 3 entries per person.
YNS’ challenge #69 ends on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at midnight EST
If you use the sketch feel free to swap out shapes or rotate; so long as we can see the basic sketch was your inspiration.
If you choose the color combo, be sure to use at least 3 colors and feel free to add in neutrals.

Simple, right?  So I decided to give it a try.  Here is the resulting card.

I hope this post helps to inspire you to get out some of those stamps you haven’t used in a while.  Just create!

Have a great day and happy crafting!

Here is the Ink that I used: Memento Tuxedo Black
