Hi! Thank you so much for dropping by!
I think these cards turned out super cute. I had joined a “doll” challenge on Facebook and bought my first doll stamp. I had to turn them into Christmas Cards since we are right around the corner.
This is the Julie Nutting Doll Stamp, Steffi, that I picked up at Michaels. After trying out this one, I’ll have to get more!
I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers for the coloring and added a bit of Wink of Stella to the skirts, trim and headbands to give them a little holiday shimmer. I matted some holiday plaid pattern paper that was part of the Year Round Stack from DCWV onto some green or red Recollections 65 lb cardstock and added the front design to a card base made from Recollections 110 lb cardstock (300 GSP). Inside, is just a simple “Thinking of you at Christmas” sentiment ( I forgot what set it’s from, and will have to find the set so I can put the stamp away… DOH!) to finish off the cards.
I’m sorry for being so out of touch while making my Halloween cards and gifts (I’ll be posting an album of many pics shortly. Most can already be found on my Instagram page) … I bit off a little more than I could chew and didn’t want to take the additional time to set up for videos… I finished my last card on October 30th… that was a little close. LOL. Since I’m getting started a little earlier for Christmas (and I have learned so much doing the Halloween cards), adding videos and tutorials should be easier.
Thanks again for dropping by to see my latest creation. Every day I’m experimenting and learning something new and it is just too much fun! And it’ll be exciting to see how new (to me) techniques turn out. I can’t wait to send out the handmade cards to my friends, family, and co-workers. Be sure to subscribe and drop in often to see what I try next. And check out my Instagram and YouTube for more photos, videos, and tutorials coming out soon.
